keyboard shortcut addon

anyone remember an old plugin for winamp that allowed you to control it when in other programs like games and such? You could set your own specif sequence of keys for certain function.

As of Winamp 5.0 (and higher), there is native support for that.

Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences) > General Preferences > Global Hotkeys

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

Forget any old plugins. Forget any older versions of Winamp too. Use the new features in Winamp's Global Hotkey support instead...

First, if you don't already have it, upgrade to the currently supported version (as of the time of this post, that would be v5.52). It will also add an "Enable default multimedia keyboard support (you can customize them below)" option to Winamp's Global Hotkeys.

Next, checkmark that newly-added option as well as "Enabled" under Global Hotkeys in Winamp preferences, set your hotkeys and give it a whirl.

Here's a screenshot...

There are still global hotkey plug-ins listed at Winamp.com > Plugins. Winamp 5 is the continuation of Winamp 2, so many WA 2 plug-ins are still in the database.
Plug-in search hotkeys and/or global.
