Question about organising songs
I'm not sure if this goes here, but i'm not having a technical problem so here goes,
I just got winamp and would like it use it as my main media player. The only problem I have, is that i have a lot of .mod, .m3a and other tracker files. I like to have all my tracker files seperate from all my .mp3 files, is there a way to do this? (I'm looking to have it so i can have say .mp3 songs on shuffle and not have any .m3a, .mod files playing) |

What do you mean by separate? If they are in separate locations on your hard disk then they will stay there as Winamp does not move files. If you want to have separate Smart Views for your different files then create two different ones like:
Streamed music: filename ends mp3 | filename ends wav - and - Synthesized music: filename ends mod | filename ends m3a Then when you play these, just play that one smart view so that you don't get the 'wrong' kind of music. No problem. I should point out that that you can repeat the | filename ends ext section for as many audio extensions as you need. Sorry if you guessed/discovered that yourself but many wouldn't be that clever. Alternatively, if you have the two kinds of music in separate folders then you could do something like:
Streamed music: filename begins "X:\Music\Streamed" - and - Synthesized music: filename begins "X:\Music\Synthesized" All the documentation for the Smart View queries can be found on the Advanced page of the Add/Edit Smart View dialog.
