Ogg type: libVorbis or aoTuVbx
Back about Winamp 5.23ish Winamp used to display the type of Ogg encoding used for Ogg internet radio stream under "View file info." Winamp used to specify libVorbis or aoTuVbx, where 'x' is a variable. This ability has been dropped and I liked it.

If I don't see the information, is that the fault of the broadcaster? Everything is grayed out. I don't even have an advanced tab. Could my security software be mucking things up? I don't use a software firewall, but I do have Kaspersky, Spyware Doctor, and TrojanHunter always running.

Here's a capture of Rock and Troll 128 kbps Ogg
How did you get your image embedded directly in your post? |

Apologies, I totally ignored the stream bit of your original post. If you look, mu screen shots are for local files. I have no clue if Winamp will or can read this information from a stream. I too get no metadata listed anywhere (only the playlist title) if I listen to a stream.
As for the the images, use the [img] tags. Winamp ATF Reference — My cPro timer widget — My port of AVS Do NOT email me with general tech support questions. |

Out of interest, I had a look at one of my files and I too cannot see the vendor info.
![]() Edit: Never mind, I checked one of my OGG files and the Vendor info was indeed there. I for some reason assumed the same would apply to MP3 files, i.e. LAME 3.97. |

That's because that is an MP3 file. MP3 files don't store that information, but some encoders make an exception and add their name as padding (lame being one, it also stores the version).
[EDIT] Good to see you picked up your mistake. Winamp ATF Reference — My cPro timer widget — My port of AVS Do NOT email me with general tech support questions. |
