Winamp opens Divx; crashes.

For the last little while, when I've played music through Winamp, through the File --> Play menu or through the media library, about 20 seconds into it, a Divx icon appears beside the clock, disappears, and then Winamp illegal operations (encounter's an error and needs to close) and closes.

The problem appears to only happen when I let the song play. If I keep hitting "next" on my keyboard, the error doesn't occur.

I just tried re-installing, but to no avail. I have also uninstalled Divx (everything except the Divx codec, which I would like to keep; the Divx codec has a different icon from Divx, so I've assumed this is not the issue).

It might be my new Sanyo MP3 player, which I used with Winamp Auto-sync probably around the same time the error started happening.



Could someone please help me troubleshoot this? I'm running Windows XP SP2, 3.2GHz, 768MB Ram, DX9m, and below is my Hijack log, and list of plugins. Thank you.

PS: Using the plugin lister caused the same Divx error as playing music.

Update:

Windows Media Player closed as well.

I uninstalled the DivX codec and everything's working fine.

Yeah, we recommend using latest ffdshow for DivX
(and XviD, MPEG4, H.263, H.264, etc, and many others)
