Noob Has Connection Problem

I have checked that box to connect at start up many times, but it never sticks. I can't click the button to connect manually, it's not "full color active". Is there a trick to it? Seriously, not joking.

Thanks, I already have read those three tutorials, and bookmarked them too. They are very helpful. I never would have made it this far without them.

What exactly do you mean by: "you need to start the dsp with the button on the output tab" ?

One more thing, if you don't mind. When configuring winamp, PREFERENCES>PLUG INS>DSP EFFECTS>SHOUTCAST SOURCE DSP, under the OUTPUT CONFIGURATION tab, should the output address be 127.0.0.1, like the Evil Lu tutorial says, or should I set is at "localhost", like the Evil Lu tutorial says?
