Playlist trouble

I've seen this question asked before, but I can't seem to find an answer for it. Like others, my playlist skips around all over the place. Sometimes it will repeat endlessly whatever track I first loaded, other times it will skip about from track to track, other times it will stop once it's reached the end of its current track. I've tried my best to find an answer here already, but I haven't had any luck. Any help at all will be immensely appreciated!

Either there's dead links in the playlist (have you maybe moved/renamed the source files recently?) and you've got the Shuffle & Repeat features enabled (two buttons on right side of main window in Winamp Modern skin, one looks like an oval-shaped arrow and the other is "123")...

Or it's a bug caused by this 3rd-party plugin:

I have a simple playlist with a list of *.flac files. This list is created in Tag & Rename. However when I click on the playlist, Winamp starts up but does not begin with the first file in the list. Also when I use the 'next' button, it seems to go to a random position in the list instead of the next one.

What can I do to correct this?

Turn shuffle off. Hit 'S' on your keyboard. Or click the shuffle button in your skin.
