Stop Messages (AKA Blue Screeen af Death) in WinXP/Win2000 (my guess would be Vista also) is usually a sign of faulty drivers. Try updating the display and sound drivers. I would suggest going to the manufacturer's site of the sound and video cards to update the drivers or go to the site of your computer provider/manufacturer.

Generally applications (including Winamp) do not cause BSODs, they just may come to the surface while using a application.

However, just to be on the safe side, try a clean install of Winamp. Also, as a FYI the current version of Winamp is 5.531.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.
