queue/playlist is adding all songs

i use winamp 5.53 and use the winamp 5.53 essential plugins. my problem is with the queue/playlist. i have some songs queued on the right panel and when i click on one of the songs in the audio tab under local media, my queue/playlist disappears and it changes the entire list into my entire library.

ive tried fixing this by creating my own playlist and putting them there, but is there a way for that to work on queue?

my questions are how do i disable this auto queue/playlist? it also happens when do a search and i click a song and a playlist of my search show up? i wanna disable this auto feature so that only my playlist show up on the right panel, not my entire songs.

Winamp -> Prefs -> Media Library -> Library Options tab

Double click or Enter in the library = Enqueues selected items

Uncheck the two "Play all items" and "Play search results" options.


Optionally, you can also go to:

Prefs -> Jump to File -> ML Options
and checkmark the 1st, 3rd & 4th 'Enable' options.

You'll then see the 'Add to queue' option in the 'Send To' submenu when you right-click Local Media & Playlist items in the Library...


ps. make sure you're using 5.531 (plus ml_playlists update patch), not 5.53

thank you for the help and i still have one problem left.

ive done everything that was listed except the enqueue on click, i chose to keep that on play, however theres still one thing.

i do a search for a song, left it click one to play it and queue some songs using the right click enqueue option. now when i left click on a new song, my queue is reset again.

what i was hoping for was that my queue wouldnt reset when i click on a new song but whatever i click it, it would just overwrite whats currently playing. is there a way to fix this or is this not possible?

If 'Play' is the default action, then it will clear the Playlist and Play the clicked item(s). That is why I told you to set Enqueue as the default action instead.

Note that you can also just drag+drop items from the Local Media views to the Playlist.

thank you for the help and ive gotten use to the enqueue on click, one last question.

is there a way for the file to play automatically when i queue it?

Assuming you did as I said in my previous reply...

Prefs -> Jump to File -> ML Options
and checkmark the 1st, 3rd & 4th 'Enable' options

Right-click -> Send To -> Add to queue and play
