Go to: Winamp -> Prefs -> Plugins -> DSP/Effects
Select "None" Does the problem persist? If yes, close Winamp, and go to the C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins folder. Create a new "Backup" subfolder in there. Cut+paste these files into it: dsp_atomixmp3.dll gen_dragndrop.dll Reopen Winamp and try playback again. Any joy? If the problem persists, I will need to see that HJT log... You can get msvbvm60.dll here Separate DLL (goes in the C:\Windows\System32 dir) http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...shtml?msvbvm60 Or you can install the full VB6 Runtime Library from here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290887 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...7-F673077FFB3C |

Thank you so much for your help, I've switched off (but didn't remove) these 2 plugins and Winamp seems working properly now. Guess it was the bpm counter from Atomix. Biggest thank you one more time for your help, hope the problem will not persist. Going to search the right bpm counter.
