Browsing SHOUTcast radio
I'm not able to browse SHOUTcast Radio places if running winamp on Vista Business 32Bits non-administrative account.
Normally the SHOUTcast browser shows you a letter index. In this case the letter index is not visible. Search attempt doesn't succeed as well. On my XP Pro sp2 PC this problem occurs also on administrative account. On non-administrative account the media library doesn't present SHOUTcast topic at all. However, "online services" option was checked during installation. |

I guess that all began after update to the newest version. From previous one.
No answers came, so I had to do extended forum research. Just some minutes ago I was going to provide you with winamp & system config data, according to some thread here. Downloaded the plug-in for plug-ins list generation. Installation finished with same config process like on installation of complete winamp. Have been asked for file associations, whole process was three steps long. Is it expected behaviour while installing this plug-in ? Most interesting thing is, shortly after "one for nunz" installation was complete I could browse shoutcasts. Afterthat a winamp restart and the problem is back. Now I realize that the previous time it was running as admin. Therefore I could browse shoutcasts. Why is the problem not occuring on administrative account ? -PC or Motherboard make/model asus laptop AV1S -CPU & RAM Intel T7300, core duo 2, 2GB RAM -Sound card or chip n.a. -Videocard n.a. -Windows OS (including Service Pack, eg. WinXP sp2) vista business 32bits -DirectX version (start > run > dxdiag) -Winamp version (eg. 5.531) latest version -Confirmation of the Winamp installation type (Pro, Full, Bundle, Lite) pro -We will also need further information for any video playback issues Let me know if HJT logs are also necessary in this case please. |
