Streaming from Winamp works, but can't use mic.

Is there anyway other than Stereo Mix that will let me use my mic while streaming from Winamp? Stereo mix for me is horrible quality, and I don't want all my other Windows sounds and such going through anyway.

I'm thinking along the lines of a plugin that will let enable winamp to pickup my mic; so my mic goes into winamp then streamed. But I've had a look and can't find anything.

Help please x)

External soundcard and mixer! You can even stream CDs and your iPod, if you have one - and other sound sources.

Check out my station - go to the Shoutcast menu and search for Arty's Party - available usually between noon and about six PM UK time (BST - GMT + 1).

I use a HomeMix from Argos and a Creative Soundblaster 5.1 soundcard. And Vista, too.

Not sure if it's allowed to be mentioned here but I use the oddcast v2 plugin with WinAmp for this very reason - very like the Shoutcast DSP plugin but it has a Mic option to stream just ur Mic input rather than your whole Stereo Mix.

Looking now it seems oddcast has been renamed Edcast

can't post a url

Google Oddcast Winamp Plugin

<edit again> correction - using oddcast v3 with WinAmp 5.5 - works fine Will have to try edcast soon
