Hi 'yall,

used to be that Winamp (I forget which version, but it was way back in the late ´90:s), had a bug which manifested itself thus: if you deleted a file from the current play list, it was also deleted from your Hard Drive.

I can see how this would have been annoying if you didn't know about it and weren't presented with a choice on installation, like: "Do you want Winamp to delete...yada yada".

(I think Windblows mediaplayer currently has that 'feature' and gives you the choice).

But as long as you can make an informed choice, and know what's going to happen, there is to me no better, quicker way of pruning your .mp3 library to your liking in real time. For me, anyway, it's sometimes hard to remember what files I want to get rid of after playing Winamp for an hour or so.

So, my questions are:
1) does anybody remember what this Winamp version was and
2) is it still available?

I'd gladly give my mothers right arm for a copy. (Quiet, bitch, quiet!)

Thanks.
