random 'dun' sound

not sure if this is to do with winamp, i keep hearing a 'dun' sound occasionally. i looked it up in sounds properties and its a 'windows xp ding' normally used for 'default beep'. i cant see any notification when it happens.

anyone know what this is and how to make it stop?

ok i closed winamp and still hear it, so i guess its not winamp after all
