you need winamp the full version
I put files into the playlist editor or media library then select what I want then right click --> send to --> ipod you can also get winamp to sync playlists or autofill the ipod. |

Ok, that works great, but I have a question. When I sync my iPod with iTunes (the RAM hog), it syncs all my songs without a problem. When I sync it within winamp, it tells me that some of the files aren't compatible with the iPod and will be left off.
Is there a way to see what files winamp thinks are incompatible so I can move them with iTunes? Or is there a way to get winamp to realize that they are compatible? I'm losing out on 100 songs or so because winamp thinks they won't sync. |

what type of file is winamp saying its incompatable?
ex. .m4p .flac .ogg if they are .m4p you are out of luck as winamp (or any other program for that matter) cannot decode these. if you have another format like .flac or .wav .ogg etc you will have to use the ml_ipod plugin to and set it to automatically convert them to .mp3 or .m4a homes32 |

You can check to see which files are not being transfered. When you click the sync button a dialog pops up telling you which songs will be transfered and which will not. Like the provious poster stated, no program (except Itunes) can send m4p (Itunes protected songs bought from the Itunes Store) files to your ipod. |
