media library messed up
just tried using winamp after a few years.
Have a portable hdd -usb which has one folder with a few dozen sub-folders of music/ artists. Plus several other general folders like documents, new progs, back up sys files, movies, pictures etc. Basically everything is in either a main or sub folders. When I played around with different options of the media library the other night to import music listings, it seemed to be 'adding' files rather than listing them. I stopped it. But then found it wasn't doing this at all. EVERY single folder has disappeared, actually marked hidden with the option greyed out. All that's left visible is the sub music folders straight from the root. I know the rest is there still after doing a wild card search. But wonder what was going on with winamp, anyone know. Or ideas to un lock / unhide other files / folders. Incidentally, 'show hidden / system files' i always have on by default so don't know why cant see them from any pc. I have tried attrib -s-h etc and also booted in safe mode on one machine and tried changing properties but no change. |

Ok a simpler ver.
WINAMP LIBRARY MESSED UP MY HDD. It has locked all the files so they cannot be seen by xp. Only using a wildcard search do they appear. I don't understand it. Tried loads of utilities but cont see what the prob is. |
