Hi

We can't reproduce the problem under Winamp 5.35

What exact method are you using to play the files?
(there's at least 5 different methods of adding tracks to Winamp)

What's your Windows OS?

Are you using any 3rd-party Winamp plugins?

Providing us with a List of Plugins might help us to help you...

[edit]

winamp.ini is not my_plugins_list.txt

I am using winamp535_lite.exe

with "mp3 decoder" + "wave decoder" and "direct sound output"
no 3rd party plugins.

windows xp professional sp2 full updated

it doesnt matter which way i use to add files to winamp.

"process explorer" from sysinternals also shows that "winamp.exe" still accesses the folder when file is stopped or removed from playlist.

in the attachment is my winamp.ini file.

when i exchange winamp.exe with the one from the 5.33 archive it works correctly.

some update:

normal windows explorer doesnt force winamp to lock folder but xplorer²lite from zabkat.com does.

www.zabkat.com/x2lite.htm

with winamp 5.33 i never had this problem so it must be a problem with those 2 programs working together.

maybe you can fix it.

Hello, I have the same problem with 5.531 and XP SP3.
I have a lot of MP3 folders that i want to check, so i play one by rightclick "play in winamp".
After that i chose another folder.
Now i want to move or delete the first folder, it's no longer in the playlist, but blocked. I have to close winamp every time, to do anything with the folder!
No additional plugins.

So i made some tests and its the folder i start with.
The next played folder can be deleted but the very first folder not.
I look at "process explorer" from sysinternals like drainbamage and it says: Command line for Winampf is ["Winampfolder/Winamp.exe" "Musicfolder"]
(I replaced the folders and files here with general variables.)
So maybe the opening string blocks the first folder.
