Can not play MPEG-1 Layer 3 files

Hi all,
i have a strange problem
the winamp is unable to play my old mp3 files... where as with the new one there is no problem.
when i looked into the file information from the winamp... i came to know the difference between two is MPEG-1 Layer 3 and MPEG-2 Layer 3.
Initially even the Windows media player (Ver 11) was not able to play the old file... but after downloaind a patch from flashcodec for VBR. Media player started playing it well... but winamp is still not able to play thoese file.
can any one help
i am attaching one of the files which i m not able to play

Please post your HijackThis log.

Alas, it sounds like you've got the same malware as the people in this thread:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=292924

Flash codec is also malware. The original virus requires it so that WMP can play the corrupt mp3 files.

Sorry, I've no idea. I don't know anything about fs-mp3fix apart from that someone posted it in another thread and said that it can repair the corrupt mp3's.
I don't have the virus and don't have any corrupt mp3's to fix with it.

All I know is that someone made the fix specifically to fix the corruption caused by this virus. I don't know of any other fix.

@Devsy29

There's no evidence of the virus in your HJT log.
Did you already get rid of it?

If so, then you've now got to use fs-mp3fix to fix the corrupted mp3's.
See the link in my first reply.
