Line in with visualization plugins
Is there anyway to use line in to control visualization plugins such as geiss. For instance, setting up microphones at a gig going to the line in on a laptop hooked up to a projector. Basically getting the visualizations to change while we play etc.

I followed those instructions in that old thread, and I still could not get the visualization to work with the provided nullsoft line-in plugin (winamp 5.54). Clicking configure for the nullsoft linein plugin simply brings up a dialog to type linein:// from the play location menu.
I had to install Jasper's line-in plugin, and use that instead. Only then could I get the visualizations to work. Strangely enough, the mini spectrum analyzer/oscilliscope would show feedback when I had selected something using the nullsoft line-in (or typed linein:// in the open URL box), but neither milkdrop or AVS would work. |
