Streaming music opens Notepad - Grrr!!!

Can you help me with this...

Every time i open a boombox radio station it opens notepad instead of WINAMP

i am running vista home premium 32bit
i have opened the options on WINAMP, selected preferences, selected general preferences, then selected file types and clearly marked the M3U, PLS and ASX as well as all other file types

I have attached a picture of my desktop with the notepad open, the WINAMP preferences window open to show how i have it marked along with the boombox program running

the problem persists ... help! thanks

if you open a PLS file from the Internet, in Internet Explorer (or Firefox), does it open in Winamp? That program you are using, BOOMBox isn't supported here. So, verify it is happening everywhere,

And with Vista, make sure you are running Winap 5.54. It has some fixes with Vista and associations.

full uninstall and reinstall

And you can double check the file associations manually in Vista:
