Transcoding Lossless Tracks

Hi Gang, I kind of already know the answer to this, but I just wanted to double check.

I have some apple lossless files. If I transcode those from Apple Lossless to FLAC, there should be no loss of lossless. Is that correct? Or is it berrer to convert to WAV and then to flac?

You're correct, lossless to lossless will result in no loss of quality.

Would it depend on what you are using to transcode with?

Are all trancoding utilities 100% accurate?

the flac reference encoder is 100% accurate, so if i was you i'd save myself the time and convert straight from alac to flac.
