Getting wma support with no WMP
So I recently installed Windows XP with all traces Windows Media Player(WMP) completely stripped out and upon trying to play WMA files in Winamp I received an error saying WMASF.dll couldn't be found. I figured that this was the library which allows WMA playback, so I download it and put it in the system32 folder. The error disappeared but instead Winamp now locks up and has to be killed from the task manager when attempting to play WMA files. Can anyone here suggest a workaround which doesn't involve using WMP to play WMA in Winamp? If it only involves installing some back end components like DLLs that's all right but I would prefer having as small a trace of the thing on my system as possible.
Thanks in advance.
