Winamp crashes too much
Yes, the current version of Winamp keeps crashing whenever I play certain mp3 files or I change files to play. This is what the even viewer says happens: Faulting application winamp.exe, version 5.5.4.2147, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x000109fb. any suggestions to solve this? |

Well, you haven't mentioned your operating system, nor have you provided any other required info to allow people here to help you.
But anyway, that said, take a look at these 2 threads related to ntdll.dll crashes... winamp crashing ntdll.dll problem? Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. This will also benefit others who may have a similar question or problem. But before posting, please first Search the forums and read all FAQs and all Sticky threads. Sawg linked to the same required info link I first posted above, most likely because you did not provide the required info. You also didn't say what happened when you followed the advice in the other thread(s) I linked to.
So... What happened when you first closed Winamp and then moved main.dat and main.idx out of the settings folder in either %appdata%\Winamp\Plugins\ml (default) or Winamp\Plugins\ml (old style) and then restart Winamp? Did you still experience the crash? You never said. If you did/do still have crashing after having done that, then as Sawg said, follow the link and follow the instructions (to attach the needed logs) so that the people here can help you. |
