Embedding WINAMP

Hey guys, i don't know if my subject was right but anyway this is what i mean:

Do you know how with windows media player, you can minimize it so it shows as like a little player in the start bar?

Is that possible to do with an addon or something small for winamp?

All i want is for winamp to not show up in the start bar when I'm using it, It's very annoying and I'm forever loading it, and if i go to the desktop it's just another thing i need to minimize, Is there a way to completely hide winamp and only have a icon trey??

So either just an icon trey and for it to not be seen in the background on windows like some players can do, Or to Embed it into the start bar like windows media player?

Thanks in advance, Joshua.

Patience - learn to have patience. We are all volunteers here. Don't expect immediate answers, and not necessarily in the same day.

Anyway...

Try any of the tray control plugins that DJ Egg listed here.

In forums, we reply to posted questions in the threads they are posted in and never by email. That way, when posted pubicly, it benefits others who may have a similar question or problem.

If when you say "message", you mean a personal message, then don't. Read this part of my signature in my above post...

Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp.

You can read the rest of my sig above as well too.

So... I will not answer any personal messages. If you need to post again, and if it's related to this same issue, post/reply back here. If it's an unrelated issue, start a new topic/thread. But... do not post or ask unrelated questions in other people's threads as you did here.

I guess you're new to online forums.
Don't worry - you'll learn!

Yes - that's correct, in order to not show the icon.
Go and look through the rest of the preferences to see all the other configurable options that Winamp has to offer as well.

It would be "good day" here in New York. More precisely, morning - it's 9:00am EST here now.

Happy Winamping!

Err Nunzio, did you forget the default Nullsoft Tray Control plug-in?...

@ Joshsux

Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences)
Plug-ins > General Purpose
double click Nullsoft Tray Control
configure to your heart' content, however I would suggest using the Compact Mode button/icon
close out Prefs
Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

No I didn't, JM
That was the first thing Egg mentioned here and I figured it was covered but you're right - he never showed the procedure, whereas you have, and I should have but did not!

My bad!
Thanks, JM!
(although dlinkwit27 did show the procedure here but I didn't link to that)

i did find that when trying to get something to work johnnymac, But it didn't work, it didn't hide the actual thing from the start bar. But that little tick fixed me without even putting a plugin on, thanks for all your help.
