Memory Leak
Has anyone else noticed a large memory leak in the latest version (5.541) on Vista?
After using winamp to listen to a stream this morning for roughly 4 hours my winamp working set size was @250MB and the private size was over 650MB! Even with just opening Winamp and letting it sit there without playing or doing anything the memory usage (both the working set and private) has gone from @25MB for both working and private to 82MB and 76MB respectively, over the course of 15 minutes. Looking at Winamp.exe in Process Explorer shows a jump of about 4MB in private bytes every minute, literally. Not around a minute, or just for a few minutes; every minute (to the second) that WinAmp is open it is allocating @4MB of memory. The only plugin that I know I'm running is for Last.Fm (Audioscrobbler Winamp plugin v2, 1, 0, 9 (ML Mode)), but I've been using that for a while and have never noticed this memory issue before upgrading to the latest release of WinAmp. Anyone else seeing this? If it's not WinAmp, how I can I try to isolate what the real cause is? Thanks! |
