launches windows explorer on computer start-up
i recently upgraded to the new version of winamp. It seems to work fine, but since i've upgraded everytime i start-up my computer windows explorer launches the 'C:\Program Files\Winamp' folder. It's not the end of the world, but it's annoying having to close the window everytime i start up. How could i make the windows explorer folder stop launching on my start-up???

Hmm, I'm still not sure what could be causing the Winamp folder to appear, but there's some remnants of a SmitFraud spyware infection referenced in your HJT log, so I recommend that you get rid of those first.
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06E12C36-760F-4D92-8509-5E5DBF12C423} - (no file) O20 - Winlogon Notify: fccyvTJD - fccyvTJD.dll (file missing) O21 - SSODL: cholecyst - {ee2975b6-e8d5-405e-8448-8fe9590f6cfb} - (no file) O22 - SharedTaskScheduler: {ee2975b6-e8d5-405e-8448-8fe9590f6cfb} - cholecyst - (no file) Close all Explorer/browser/office windows. Run HJT scan again Place a checkmark next to those entries only Click 'Fix checked' Delete all temp files (you can use an app such as CCleaner for this) Run a full spyware scan with eg. Ad-Aware and/or Spybot Search & Destroy |

Same Issue...
I too have this same issue. I can reassure you, at least in my case, that this is directly related to enabling winamp remote on startup.

Hmm, maybe.
I always uncheck all the items on the "Get the most out of Winamp" page of the installer options, so I've never installed any of Winamp Remote, Winamp Toolbar, Winamp Search or Emusic. There's separate uninstallers for those things (in Add/Remove Programs CP) if you don't require/use them. |

Anyway....
Nonetheless, if this is your problem and you have winamp remote set to load with windows from within winamp remote, go to configuration (left or right-click the notification-area icon)and disable start when windows starts. If you still want it to load with windows, without the error, copy the winamp remote program icon into the startup folder.
