Sync issue with 5.541

I have just updated to the new 5.541 version, and now cannot sync my ipod nano. I keep getting error message "winamp has generated errors". The ipod is recognised but will not sync. I do not now however where the error log is stored? Once the error log is generated the program shuts down with no choice to read the file or not. Can someone please help?

OS: Windows 2000.

Regards,
normusic.

It's either the fact that you're still on Win2k or a firmware update to the iPod. Did you update the iPod via iTunes recently? I don't recall specifics, but I did read somewhere that some iPod firmware updates upped requirements to XP SP2.

Thanks for the reply.

No firmware update. When I connect the ipod to the Pc it automatically bbots up i-tunes, but I get a message telling me that I need to upgrade to vrsion 7.4 which will only work on XP or vista. This was the reason I originally started using Winamp, as there is a plugin that makes the whole thing work. Everything was working well until I updated to 5.541. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I have the same problem.
I've got an MPman MP-CS155 with the only firmware update there is. I can sync with no problems with WMP11 but Winamp crashes everytime I try to sync, and if I try to add directly each song to the device it also crashes...

any ideas how I could fix this?
thanks
