ipod compatibility
hello !
i'm a french user of winamp since severals years now and i love how the media library is made an i like to use it, way much more than the one on itunes (managing anything with this shit gets you to give your credit card number in 3 cliks...) i've just baught an ipod classic 120 gb and i'd love to be able to manage it fully with winamp i've already started sychronization ipod/winamp but i have questions about how it works i do not even know if i am asking the right person(s): - Will correction on tags and album cover after first sychronization be reported on my ipod, if not how do? -if i go pro to support thecause because winamp is great will it make things easyier for me to manage my ipod? thank you for answering or rederecting me to whoever can answer my questions... because i might have a lot more coming =) greetings form paris toxvox ... 1. Winamp doesn't support embedded album art(it will read them but won't write them)
so album art on ipod is not something that works properly with winamp.(most people don't care anyway, ipods are for listening to not watching) 2. Winamp pro will only allow you to encode your files to mp3 instead of just m4a's for better compatibility. |
