Library Freezes on Opening

Hey i am having trouble with my library freezing when i open it. My system is older. 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 H/t and 2 GB 333 mhz Ram, but i run it on an older computer 2.8 celeron with 512 mb ram, and i have issues at all. I have tried reinstalling it many time with no change. What happens is i use the hot key to open the library and everything freezes, after about 3 to 4 minutes it finally opens. It acts the same.
