No there isn't. Different remote controls operate with different signals, so unless you can get an infra-red receiver that matches the signals of your remote, then you can't. However, the Amparod plugin ( http://www.winamp.com/plugins/detail...omponentFlag=P ) lets you use a $25 univeral remote control to operate Winamp.

Same place. You can buy a kit - remote control and receiver for around $50, as far as I know.

Unfortunately this plugin seems to be pretty useless since the author decided to take the installation instructions off of his web page. So without knowing which additional hardware is needed and how the author wants it to be connected to the PC it's useless.
It is possible to receive IR commands from the IR remote, if a) it uses the RC5 code for data transmission b) you can find anyone who can build you a IR->RS232 converting circuit (a single PIC16x78 µC would do, however my friend who can program them is lazy and won't write PIC code for others) c) you can find anyone who can write you a plugin that receives the data via an RS232 port and controls winamp (I could do that, but without part b) I can't help you either) ...if anyone else has another solution... ![]() Regards, -Søren PS: There is no Radio Shack in Germany...
