"folder" not working in smart view query?

I'm running v5.541 on Windows and I tried creating a query that filters out files < 3 weeks old in a specific folder. The date filter works fine, but the "folder" field doesn't seem to work. So:

lastupd < [21 days ago]
gets me a lot of results from my C drive.


lastupd > [19 days ago] AND folder BEGINS "C"
Doesn't work. Tried C, C:, C:\\, C:\. None of them get any result.
(I plan to use something more restrictive than C, but wanted to try it out with the widest range possible).

As a note, the "folder" field is only listed in the advanced section in the documentation; it is not given as a possible field in the dropdown. Does this mean that it doesn't actually work, and they forgot to pull it from the docs?
