ml_transcode

Hi Gang, Its Kn0tte a problem but I just wanted to make the teams aware that the CD Ripping Filename Format mask was different from the ml_transcode filename format mask. i discoivered this while trying to transcode some files using the same mask in the CD Rip preferences <Artist> - <Album>\## - <Trackartist> - <Title>
and getting the error "Cannot open destination File"
Took me a while to figure out what the problem was.

I am batch converting a large number of FLAC files to mp3 and I noticed that when you transcode a file, it will also bring over the album art if there is art associated with the file. VERY COOL! I dont know when that started, but its PERFECT! I was wondering if there was a way to also create a playlist. Like if I were to right click on a playlist and choose send to > format converter for it to recreate the playlist. Or something along those lines. Like I said, Kn0tte a problem, just an idea.

Haha poor Kn0tte will never live that down. Good suggestions though. Recreating playlists when converting files is definitely something that would come in handy.

I just noticed a tiny bug. The search artist-information button formats with +'s instead of spaces so the search site actually gets "April+Wine" instead of "April Wine"

Also, is there any file I can edit to add my own custom searches or change the homepage?

Edit: It's not just from the Artist-Information buttons, it's actually any time you use the search field.

Request: A little SmartView Query Language love.

iPod Nano 4th Gen.

Hey guys!

I recently got a new iPod as a gift, but I refuse to install iTunes, and I've heard that you can transfer music through winamp so I wanted to give it a go

When I plugged in the iPod it asked what model/type it was so I checked "Nano" and then from my playlist, tried right-clicking a song and "Send To" -> "iPod" and I noticed it created a new folder and a new mp3 file on the iPod, but it doesn't match the structure of my previous songs (like it's not in capital letters) and I can't find it on the iPod itself.

Of course using the latest winamp with the essentials pack and the server fix

Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Or isn't there any native support of the latest nano model yet?

Thanks for a great player!

There is no 5.56, 5.55 is still in Betas (and beyond 2199 as well)

It might have been 5.441 Build 2189? A

@elcondor: The version number on the installer is 5.5.4.2147, so there you go. It's not even 5.541, it's 5.54.

apologies on that, was meant to have a smilie on the end but after some users asking all too often it is too easy to just come back with a plain default response. basically when a release happens or a public beta occurs then it'll be posted otherwise it's just the waiting game for if/when there will be a new version.

Horrible unstable

5.541 is horrible unstable.
Sometimes after changing the modern skin settings, Winamp crashes & after crash, I have to set my settings again.
Sometimes after closing Winamp, C++ runtime error window will appear & after rerun the Winamp, I have to set my user settings again.
5.541 doesn't save the user settings correctly, & it drives me crazy.
In file types option, when I tick the "lunch Winamp for audio CDs" & after closing the settings window, when I check the setting again, it's unticked.
Why Winamp doesn't save my settings correctly?
I turned off my system restore.

its been rock solid for me.
-disable all 3rd party plugins
-sounds like you have another program that keeps taking over the CD playing.

My default audio player for all audio files is Winamp & KM Player for all video files.

delete studio.xnf and winamp.ini one or both of those will probably fix your problems.

(you will have to redo all your settings but hopefully for the last time.)

Winamp does not have a virus/trojan problem.

If you have let virus/trojans gain access to your computer, you better do a virus scan.

This is odd, I just reinstalled my OS and then Winamp, but now I do NOT see a winamp.ini file.

I created one and popped in the vista_thumbnail=1 line, but it didn't seem to do anything after relaunching the application.

Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

Thank you!

If you have chosen a shared install, the winamp.ini should be in the Winamp folder.
