Winamp Freeze on Library View
I've done a reinstall, a uninstall/reinstall, and a complete uninstall by manually deleting the Program Files and AppData Winamp directories. No third party plugins are present. Was using the latest version.
Previous versions of Winamp used to work fine. Issue first appeared after I upgraded to the latest release awhile back, now it happens every single time. Winamp loads okay, but opening up the Library / media view to view bookmarks would hard freeze the program. Winamp freezes using 0% CPU time. End Process and End Process Tree do NOT close down winamp!! Every time I am forced to reboot to clear the mess. After doing a fully clean reinstall Winamp automatically loads itself with the silly llama mp3 playing and shows the Media View by default. Which means Winamp will instantly freeze, but the mp3 finishes playing in the background. Intel Q6600 @ 3.2GHz Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 4 x 1GB Corsair 800MHz EVGA GTX 260 ASUS Xonar DX Vista 64bit Reinstalled the audio drivers, didn't change anything. I don't have issues with any other audio applications or Foobar2000. Unfortunately Foobar2000 isn't nearly as convenient to use as Winamp... Edit: Guess I'll mention I uninstalled my AV program, Winamp still freezes. No /active/ anti-spyware stuff running. Was using the default Bento skin.
