Is there a way to make a transparent visualization mode so it doesn't get in the way of the background image? Thanks!

Do you mean the Vis on the main window?

If you do then I don't belive you can, at least in WA2.x, soon as a tune start the vis kicks in.

Instead of wanting the vis to be transparent to show whats underneath, why not try working your image around the vis window, get the best of both worlds then .

Back to the day job

or make some shade around it so it seems to hoover over the background picture

If you go to the visualization options (Alt-o) and set the visualization mode to Off,
the background image in the main.bmp will show through where the Vis are.
You could write a readme-file telling the users of your skin to do so.

This sentence is a lie!
