portable no longer showing up in library

I have a Kix Insignia MP3 player/USB drive. It was working great and appeared properly as a portable in the Winamp media library. I was able to transfer playlists, files, etc with no problem.

Now suddenly it is no longer appearing as a portable in Winamp. Windows still seems to recognize it as a portable and not as a USB drive but winamp doesn't see it at all. I can configure it to appear as just a normal USB flash drive and when I do that, I can select it from the media library but it doesn't appear as a true portable, just as a flash drive. I lose the functionality for exporting the playlists as actual playlists rather than a list of music.

Any ideas as to what happened and how I can get Winamp to recognize it as a proper portable? Thanks!

Andrew
