Multi-user/All-user Settings

Using the recent/latest version of WinAmp I realised there is no longer any option to choose multi-user or all-user when installing.

Was this taken out when multi=user became native?

Is there any method to make it winamp have shared settings? Ideally I would like all settings to be in the same winamp directory (and sub directories).

Reason for this is that I'd like to install winamp on an external drive so that it can be used wherever I go and that settings will be the same.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

That option was removed since Winampno longer supports non-multi-user OSes (Windows 9X/ME). You can just delete paths.ini in the Winamp folder to make it go back to old single user behavior.

Thanks, that worked great.

Another question if you don't mind, are there any known issues with using relative paths instead of absolute paths in the watch folders and output directories that we see in the winamp.ini?

[out_disk]
cfg_output_dir
cfg_singlefile_output

Thanks again
