Winamp 5 crashes with WMP11 running
I got a Sony Walkman MP3-Player for Christmas and I really love it. But every time I connect it to my laptop Winamp closes directly.
I had to install the Windows Media Player 11 to get the software running. I have no problems with Winamp running while the WMP 9 or 10 are installed. (I'm using WinXP.) I tried to rename two *.dll-files (namely: pmp_p4s.dll and pmp_usb.dll) as suggested in another thread but it didn't work. Unfortunately I have to connect the Walkman to my laptop any time I want to recharge it, so I can't really listen to music while I'm recharging or transferring music. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks in advance! |

if the walkman is a p4s (play 4 sure) device and can be changed read this advise from sansa (basically the same but the menu on the player may be different)http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/boar...&jump=true#M96 and change the device (if possible) to msc
if the device cannot be chaged to msc it will be hard to use winamp with the mp3 player untill winamp comes out with a new patch on recharging you can get a usb charge dock cheaply from wal-mart (either online or the local store)(if the player uses a usb port or cable) most players allow you to recharge this way while listening to the music at the same time hope this info helps thanks rob (c)rob 2013 (picture & SN) (please note) As users we can't give others help unless we get full details of the problem that you are having |
