My advice to you (or anyone for that matter) is to avoid using forums and community sites that don't allow reasonable signatures. (and then follow usenet etiquette - no posts with nothing but spam, people only get annoyed by those anyway)

Seems like many forums (including facebook!) are adopting a "no signature" policy. I hope people get wise to these and move on..

I wonder why people participate in forums that have google ads and the like when they themselves can't even have a humble little signature?

Think about it, the only thing some forums and "community sites" offer is.. nothing except that which is given to them by their own users.. people like you!

Winamp is an exception, from what I can make of it, this place seems like a kind of support forum, they DO offer something and what I said above doesn't apply here.
