Why can't you watch nsv streams in winamp 5?
May have been asked but the search is not working.
So why? I don't get it. It's all Nullsoft... |

NSV streams work in Winamp without any problem.
If you're talking about H264 encoded streams then you have to use h264 decoders dll that you can find searching in this forum. |

ah ok. but no h264 imo. we stream with NSVCAP from NSVtools using VP3 3.1 (proper), tested mp3 and aac and no player was able to play it, just VLC. but rips cannot be played in VLC (see other thread).
Is there any later proggy than NSVCAp from 2003? |

winamp will play your stream.
Its more than likely that your encoding settings are wrong or that your SHOUTcast server cant handle the bandwidth. There has been no update to NSV tools since 2003 welcome to the wonderfull world of AOL/nullsoft/SHOUTcast. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish. ![]()

solved. pretty tricky solution:
Only "site.com:8000/listen.pls" works. NOT "site.com:8000". It's tricky cos you can spend weeks on settings, encoder versions etc and nobody tells you this bug (mo). |

Problem now is that most players except winamp can't open pls files HAHA. well, I solved via displaying a different "Tune In" link when it's an nsv stream and not shoutcast audio stream only.
