hi,

i´ve searched several times, but i didn´t find an answer. here my question:
when i use winamp to play an normal audio cd there is a break during the playback after starting the new song (no manual skipping, i only let winamp play the cd....at the beginnig of a new track there is a short pause, then the cd is normally played). where is the problem. the normal win98 cdplayer doesn´t make these breaks.

sorry for my bad english ;-)

greetings
zero

As always, first recommendation you'll get when having CD problems is the CD Reader Plugin:

Like my photography? Buy some here....

Get rid of IN_CDDA.DLL from winamp's plugins folder. As a side-effect, though, you'll lose line-in capabilities and the "play AudioCD: X" option. It's not such a big deal though, because you can do line-in recording with programs such as AIPL Singulator.

one playlist.....but the old short-break-problem is still there!!

....the fuckin´ windows cd-player is able to play a cd without any breaks or something like that. why isn´t winamp able to do to so??? i only want to play the cd in the same way when i press the play button in front of the drive...

Use a crossfading plugin. Like SqrSoft's http://www.sqrsoft.com
