NAK problem please read and try to help

I have searched the forums and read lots and lots of topics and tried alot of things eventually the current state is that I have a TP-LINK WR541G router and I have opened 8000-8001 ports in virtual servers section and I still get

[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see yo
ur station/computer (IP: 84.228.234.23:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet
Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out).)

The radio toolbox is saying my ports are closed but when I tried opening them as one 8000 and another one for 8001 it said that 8001 was open but 8000 was closed.
I have never encounterd before that my ISP is blocking ports so I am assuming (even though its the mother of all f**kups) that it doesn't block this one either.
Please help me out here I am begging you!!!

Thank you.

Ok, Are you port forwarded?

this is only if you are using SC_trans.

This is probably a stupid question because it sounds like from the situation, you have delt with your ISP for a sticky IP address already.

I am not exactly what is the SC-trans and about sticky IP I have a chaging IP.
As for port forwarded I have port forwarded the 2 ports and as I said when been forwarded seperatly 8001 works but 8000 doesn't.
And no question is stupid as I ask here a question which has been answered in a million variations and I still can't find a solution.

what about software firewalls such as Vista, Windows XP SP2 and later, ZoneAlarm, NIS, etc?

try different ports altogether

8002 and 8003

of course ... that may mean you'll have to edit your config file and change port 8000 to port 8002 -that'll rule out ISP and/or something on your machine, I guess

"If you don't like DNAS, write your own damn system"

So I did

Tried it and still get the same answer.
even the 667 port doesn't work so maybe theres something with the 8001.

Post your full log. When you try to connect that is.

Also try port 666. Call it a hunch.

OK, I've tried all these things but I am still not being seen by the yp.

Rock and roll is like sex, if the neighbors can't hear it why bother?
