Latest Winamp crashes - Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger 2005
I installed Visual Studio 2005 last week because my job requires it for ASP .NET
Now whenever I load up winamp I get this error: An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Winamp.exe [3404] And then the just-in-time debugger gives me a list of possible debuggers: "New instance of Visual studio 2005" |

Just in Time Debugger
I constantly get the error message about this "Just in Time" debugger. I'm using Vista (unfortunately). I saw somewhere to modify the ini file for plug ins. Did it, and not change.

The plugin list looks okay...
At a guess, there could be some conflict going on with some concurrently running software/processes. Is your Sony Ericsson phone connected to the system at the time? Maybe there's a conflict with Winamp's smartphone/windowsmobile plugin trying to read the device at the same time as Sony's own Mobile4 PC Suite? With Winamp closed, go to the "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins" folder. Create a new "Backup" subfolder in there. Cut+paste the file pmp_activesync.dll into this new Backup folder. Reopen Winamp. Still getting the error/crash? Repeat for pmp_p4s.dll and pmp_usb.dll If the problem persists, then maybe it's a conflict with Winamp's ml_disc.dll plugin trying to read the CD/DVD Drives, and one of Creative's Service for CDROM Access (C:\Windows\system32\CTsvcCDA.exe) or maybe PowerDVD, but we'll only go into that if it's still not resolved after disabling Winamp's pmp plugins.... |

You probably wondered where I disappeared to. OK, I did as suggested and this is a feedback report. I think (repeat think) that it worked. I only did the file "pmp_activesync.dll." The other dll's I have not done yet. I thought this fixed it, but.... one time I got the same old error message. And I use winamp a lot. But then it didn't happen again (so far). So, thanks for help. Maybe it has something to do with activesync???
