Video playback: problems with audio?!?!

Hey guys,
I just downloaded a clean download of the latest Winamp. I put all my music on it and it worked great. I just put my videos on however and the audio on all of them is very bad. There is alot of hissing and static, lots of distortion. I tried some of the plug in tweaks that were suggested in other audio problem threads and none of them worked. Help?
