Broadcasting live at Vista via laptop
Hi.
To begin with. I've got a question to all more advanced users. Will I be able to broadcast via my laptopo with Windows Vista (HP Pavilion dv9780ew) and that soundcard (I'm thinkg about buying it) Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook. You know what I mean (I'm sure u do ) I mean talking when music is playing etc. exactly like via normal PC with Windows XP and Creative Audigy.Thank you all in advance. Kuba |

This will not work in Vista as you want. You are going to need to purchase a external mixer as well. You could also pay to have the laptop downgraded from Vista to XP, which would then work as you want.

The only way you CAN broadcast using Vista is with an external soundcard and possibly a DJ-style mixer desk.
Not sure about that particular soundcard - but Creative do do soundcards that can, with effort, work with Vista - but it's fiddly - also, Vista can be a bit temperamental at times with other types of software as well. Arthur Leslie Vasey |
