running shoutcast on an ubuntu x64 server virtual machine
i am running shoutcast on a vm and people from the outside are unable to connect to the stream to dj. on my internal network im able to connect no problem. i have the port forwarded on my router as well as allowed on my software firewall. the port im using is 8500 and i have it set to allow any ip. strange thing is people using sam broadcaster and virtual dj who try to connect arent able to. any ideas as to what the issue could be?

Is this virtual machine running on a dedicated server (vm host) or on your computer?
If it runs on your computer, i think you`ve set your vm network to host-only, you have to set it to a bridged network. greets, Michael TechnoBase.FM | HouseTime.FM | HardBase.FM | TranceBase.FM | CoreTime.FM | We aRe oNe |
