Media Library - Needs more ID3 tag support

I hate to bump a thread this old, but I stumbled upon it in my search for an answer to this. Unless I'm missing an option, discs are still not separated in the album view. The songs are correctly separated though. Is this how it was designed? Is there some option to display the discs as separate albums? On a lot of my multidisc albums, I only usually play one disc at a time. Thanks!

EDIT: Another problem is that synching my iPod with songs that use the disc number tag does not keep them in the proper disc order. The tracks from each disc get mixed up with each other.
