Multidisc Album Issues > Media Library, iPod Sync

I posted about this in another thread, but it was a very old thread, and I'm not sure if anyone will get to it. Anyway, unless I'm missing an option, discs are not able to be separated in the album view with the "Disc #" tag. Is this how it was designed? Is there some option to display the discs as separate albums? On a lot of my multidisc albums, I only usually play one disc at a time, and manually selecting the tracks is getting annoying.

Another problem is that when I sync my iPod with songs that use the disc number tag, it does not keep them in the proper disc order. The tracks from each disc of the same album get mixed up with each other. Do iPods not recognize the Disc # tag? Shouldn't Winamp's iPod sync plugin compensate for that by modifying the track numbers before a sync? Thanks!!
