Winamp Crash on startup. I miss my music!

Recently, winamp just stopped working. I started it up, and, before anything could happen, I got the windows error, the one that tells you the program has encountered a problem and needs to close. I can't generate a plugin list because I can't even get it to start up. Besides, I have no third party plugins installed, and chose the most minimal amount of plugins possible in installer. This has happened to me in two versions, I tried upgrading from the older one to the newest one, but to no avail. I tried clean installing, but that didn't work. I tried installing with "full" settings also, but that didn't work, either. I really miss listening to music while playing games. ;_;

Hmm, there's one or two entries in the HJT log that I'm not sure about... but maybe we'll go into that later. Is there anything in there that you don't recognize yourself?

Should I not ask why you've not installed sp3 for WinXP yet?

Are BootSkin & LogonStudio the only Stardock programs installed?
Or is WindowBlinds also present?
(If yes to the latter, then make sure Winamp is in WB's exclusion list)

If the problem persists, then we'll dig deeper into your HJT log
(it's late here, and although I didn't spot any definite/obvious malware, there's just too many entries in there that I'm not too familiar with).

What's this defaulthomepage.info thing all about?
Did you set that as your homepage in Internet Explorer, or is it a hijack?

Also note that there's a standalone version of the plugin list generator that you can use:

If you can't get Winamp to open and therefore can't use the One For Nunz plugin to generate the list of plugins, then you can use this standalone version instead.
Place nunz.exe in the Winamp folder (where winamp.exe is), double click nunz.exe, and a my_plugin_list_ext.txt file will appear in the Winamp folder.
Did you definitely do a proper clean install?

ie. you deleted both the Winamp program & settings folders before reinstalling 5.551?

Yeah, I did a full clean install. I don't have windowblinds installed. And I have no idea what set my IE to that. Nothing I don't recognize in the HJT log, but I'm wondering why I have lightscribe on my desktop. I wasn't aware there was a SP3 out. XD

Listing of installed input plugins (in_*) and the relevent apis which they indicate that they
support to allow you to see how well the plugin is likely to work with different Winamp builds.

Note: This is a best guess at how well the plugins shown should work with Winamp and until
you actually use the plugins with Winamp in normal use you will not otherwise know.

A * means the plugin has support for metadata queries on a file (2.9+)
A # means the plugin supports saving modified metadata via Winamp apis (2.9+)
A % means the plugin supports the unified file info dialog and a '%+' shows it adds its own pages (5.5+)
A || means the plugin supports the api_decoder used for transcoding/replaygain/etc (5.34+)

A || means the plugin supports the api_decoder used for transcoding/replaygain/etc (5.34+)
and '(Seekable)' indicates extra support in processing of audio data via api_decoder

A {} around a symbol means the plugin supports the unicode version of the api

in_cdda.dll {*} {#} %+ ||
in_dshow.dll * #
in_flac.dll {*} {#} %+ {||}
in_flv.dll {*} {#}
in_linein.dll
in_midi.dll * #
in_mod.dll * # ||
in_mp3.dll {*} {#} %+ {||} (Seekable)
in_mp4.dll {*} {#} % {||} (Seekable)

in_swf.dll {*} {#}
in_vorbis.dll {*} {#} %+ {||} (Seekable)
in_wave.dll * # || (Seekable)
in_wm.dll {*} {#} %+ {||}

Summary:

'One for Nunz (External)' found 14 installed input plugins in 'C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins'
92% (13) of the plugins installed provide the needed 5.x api ("winampGetExtendedFileInfo(..)
or winampGetExtendedFileInfoW(..)") to allow the formats provided by the plugins to work with
most of Winamp 5.x's features (more important with higher versions).
