like windowshade, but not full-screen width?

Hi guys,

I recently had a computer crash on me, so I've just reinstalled winamp on the new computer. But the behaviour of windowshade, which (I thought) I used quite a lot, seems very different to what I remember: when I switch to windowshade mode, the winamp bar takes up the full width of the screen and shows auto-hide behaviour.
I don't like this, I prefer to be able to see the song title etc, and not to have windowshade get in the way when I'm trying to close/minimise a window.
Is there a way to force windowshade's width to match that of the full-size window, or is there another mode like windowshade that doesn't behave like this?

Cheers,
Rory
