Files play directly but not in Media Library
I have had a good search around and cant find anything that sounds like the problem I am having, however feel free to prove me wrong and point me in the direction of another thread.
Basically, whenever I am listening to my music on shuffle, quite often a track will appear in the "now playing" for a second of so and then skip to the next one. I have searched in the media library for these tracks that get skipped and they will not play - "Now playing" lists the name but the counter stays at 0:00. This means thay if i load just that album form the media library it goes into an endless loop of skipping tracks. However if i find the file directly in my "Music" folder using Windows Explorer and double click, it plays fine. This inability to play in the media library appears to affect most (but not always all) of the files in certain albums. It is also not limited to one file type. It occurs on both my MP3 and WMA files. SPECS: Dell Vostro 1500 Vista Home Premium 32 bit Intel Centrino Duo (1.8GHz) 2GB RAM WINAMP: Winamp Winamp 5.552 (happened in previous version too) PLUGINS: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Found out what was wrong. It is as if I moved or altered the tracks. This is odd because I have had them in their current location for ages and they used to work fine... Also the fact that the odd one or two of the tracks in the folder did work.
I just rescanned my watched folder and it fixed the problem. Mods, feel free to delete the thread. |
