I have been trying to record minidiscs from a line out on my PC, and have started using a plug-in to pause between tracks. It all works ok except i get alot of background noise in between the tracks so the mini disc never makes a new track it is just on long track. I don't think it is winamps or the plug-ins fault, but wondered if any one might be able to help.
Cheers Dave
P.S. I have an on board sound card.

More than likely its your cables. The cheaper the cables, the more prone to interference they are. Also, what type of soundcard are you using? Try placing the minidisc as far away from the computer as posible and keep the cable more or less straight to prevent crosstalk. Also, see if you can beg/buy/borrow a better cable.
